Alexandar Zivanovic has a BA in Computer Systems Engineering and an MA in Electronic Engineering, both from the University of Kent. He carried out research into medical robotics for his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London, where he also conducted post-doctoral research in the field of mechatronics in medicine. He worked as a freelance consultant and visiting tutor at the RCA and Goldsmiths before becoming a Senior Lecturer in Design Engineering at Middlesex University. Together with Jimmy Loizeau and James Auger Alexandar Zivanovic collaborated on the Carnivorous Domestic Entertainment Robots, which has been nominated for the transmediale Award 2010.
