Art Claims Impulse

Art Claims Impulse is a gallery in Berlin specialised in video art, performance, and new media installations. Its main interest is in art with an unusual approach, that is innovative from a thematic, technical and aesthetical point of view.

The upcoming exhibition at Art Claims Impulse, Reflective Interventions, will show work by artists who combine analogue and digital media and devices to create new objects, installations and interventions that both reflect the current digital age and critically engage with it. With the Image Fulgurator Julius von Bismarck, whose newest artwork will be premiered at transmediale.10, interferes with and sabotages visual images and thus raises interesting questions about the power of image and imaging. The Perpetual Storytelling Apparatus by Julius von Bismarck and Benjamin Maus digitally interweaves cultural and scientific code into intriguing new narratives. Tudor Bratu’s work Conversation Piece interrupts and interactively rearranges contemporary discourse, whereas Cecile Colle and Ralf Nuhn’s work Digital Communication translates virtual interaction and communication into a structure of analogue impulses and sound.
