Ho Tzu Nyen
Born in 1976 in Singapore, Ho Tzu Nyen (sg) makes art projects that have been presented in cinemas, galleries and theatres, as well as on television. Most of his works begin as a re-imagination of existing cultural artifacts such as texts, songs, artworks and films, as well as a revising of the processes of cultural production and dissemination. Tzu Nyen’s films have been shown at film festivals such as the 41st Director’s Fortnight, Cannes Film Festival (2009) and the 66th Venice International Film Festival (2009). His art projects have been presented at the Venice Biennial (2011) Liverpool Biennial (2010); the 6th Asia-Pacific Triennial (2009); the 26th Sao Paulo Biennale (2004); the 3rd Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale (2005); the 1st Singapore Biennale (2006); the Dojima River Biennale (2009). His theatrical experiments have been presented at KunstenFestivaldesArts (2006, 2008), The Singapore Arts Festival (2006, 2008) and Theater der Welt (2010).
