doubleNegatives Architecture, dNA launched in 1998 as the brainchild of architect Sota Ichikawa, views the processes and devices used to measure space as "architecture", assembling a team for each project and engaging in a unique spectrum of activities including installations, software and architectural design.

Perry Bard is an artist who works with electronic media and lives in New York. Her public video installations are site specific and address cultural history and memory, often involving local community members in the production process.

Since 1995 he has started a project "smooth compound-eyes -> super-eye". In 1997, he collaborated with Knowbotic Research for "IO_DENCIES - Tokyo"( co-produced with Canon ARTLAB ) as an architect and an urban researcher. In 1998, he worked for "Hinaya Project in Nishijin, Kyoto", a "sukiya" construction of Shusaku ARAKAWA and Madelaine GINS.

The artist Hermann Josef Hack (1956), student of Joseph Beuys, was representative for art at the German Federal Ministry of Research and Technology. He is also founding member of the Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Nicholas Knouf (born 1980) is a researcher and PhD candidate at Cornell University in Ithaca, US.

Thomas Köner's is a media artist and musician who focuses on combining visual and auditory experiences. His sound works, released on labels such as Mille Plateaux and Barooni, are densely layered, and subtle, encouraging intensive and physical listening.

Sebastjan Leban is an artist and theoretician from Ljubljana. His artistic practice involves the collaboration with Stas Kleindienst, the group Trie and the group Reartikulacija.

Nick Mariette is a spatial audio researcher and sound artist, based in Paris.  Presently he is working on the locative spatial audio project "Sound Delta", with the Sound and Space group at LIMSI-CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) in Orsay, France.

Hiroshi Matoba (1983*) was born in Japan. He is studying sound art and programming at the Faculty of Design / ADCDU of Kyushu university in Fukuoka.

Miriam Mlecek is an architect, artist and curator.She completed her master at the University of the Arts in Berlin with the project “in Transit” in the art class of Rebecca Horn in 2003.

Born and raised in Japan, Michiko Nitta studied Product Design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, worked as a graphic designer before receiving an MA in Design Interactions at the Royal College of Art in London.

Esther Polak (1962) studied graphic art and mixed media and is interested in how technology determines (visual) perception. In this context she explores the visual and documentary possibilities of GPS.

Influenced by philosophy and science, American-born artist and filmmaker Reynold Reynolds works primarily with 16mm and Super 8mm film as an art medium. He has developed a common film grammar based on transformation, consumption and decay. Reynolds' depictions frequent disturbed psychological and physical themes, increasingly provoking the viewer's participation and dismay. He was awarded the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship in 2003 and in 2004 he was invited to The American Academy in Berlin. He has received numerous awards, including the Distinction Award at transmediale.09.

Richard Wright (1963), Graham Harwood (1960) and Matsuko Yokokoji (1960) are an English-Japanese artist collective that has worked together for the first time in 2004 under the name Mongrel.

Matsuko Yokokoji co-founded the Mongrel group in 1995 with Graham Harwood. She graduated from Kuwazawa Design College in Tokyo in 1983.
